An ordered motion of charged particles in a definite direction is termed as electric current Its magnitude is determined by the amount of net charge flowing through a cross section, perpendicular to the direction of the flow in unit time. Electric Current can be calculated by using the relation:
,
Where I = current flowing
q= charge
t= time
The SI. unit of electric current is ampere (A) named in the honour of a French Andre Marie Ampere. Electric Current is a scalar quantity.
We consider Ampere is a fundamental unit and Coulomb is derived from ampere, because electric current was discovered first and the phenomenon that Electric current is because of flow of electrons was discovered later.
When 1 coulomb of charge flows through any cross section of a conductor in 1 second then the electric current flowing through it is said to be 1 ampere.
The smaller unit of current is milli ampere (1 mA = 10-3 A) and micro ampere (1A = 10-6A)
Illustration: A current of 150 mA flows through a circuit for 2min. Find the amount of charge that flows through the circuit.
Solution: Given, Current,
Time,
Amount of charge, q = ?
We know that,
So, 18 C of charge flows around the circuit.
Illustration: If we observe that 20 C of net charge flows across a cross section of a current carrying wire in 4 seconds. Find the value of current?
Solution: Net Charge (q) = 20C and time(t) = 4sec
In a circuit the direction of flow of current is taken from positive terminal to negative terminal. This is the conventional direction of current. The actual; direction of current is from negative terminal to the positive terminal. As we know the electrons are the charge carrier and they are negatively charged so they will be attracted towards the positive terminal hence the actual direction of flow will be from -ve terminal to positive terminal.

Being a parent, I saw my daughter improvement in her studies by seeing a good result in all day to day compititive exam TMO, NSO, IEO etc and as well as studies. I have got a fruitful result from my daughter.
About Abhyas metholodology the teachers are very nice and hardworking toward students.The Centre Head Mrs Anu Sethi is also a brilliant teacher.Abhyas has taught me how to overcome problems and has always taken my doubts and suppoeted me.
It was a good experience with Abhyas Academy. I even faced problems in starting but slowly and steadily overcomed. Especially reasoning classes helped me a lot.
I have spent a wonderful time in Abhyas academy. It has made my reasoning more apt, English more stronger and Maths an interesting subject for me. It has given me a habbit of self studying
My experience with Abhyas academy is very good. I did not think that my every subject coming here will be so strong. The main thing is that the online tests had made me learn here more things.
Abhyas is a complete education Institute. Here extreme care is taken by teacher with the help of regular exam. Extra classes also conducted by the institute, if the student is weak.
My experience was very good with Abhyas academy. I am studying here from 6th class and I am satisfied by its results in my life. I improved a lot here ahead of school syllabus.
Abhyas Methodology is very good. It is based on according to student and each child manages accordingly to its properly. Methodology has improved the abilities of students to shine them in future.
One of the best institutes to develope a child interest in studies.Provides SST and English knowledge also unlike other institutes. Teachers are co operative and friendly online tests andPPT develope practical knowledge also.
It was good as the experience because as we had come here we had been improved in a such envirnment created here.Extra is taught which is beneficial for future.
